Each one is cut from a different part of the material. None of these gemstones are fabricated. Our Buffalo Stones come in Agate, Desert Jasper, Fluorite, Grand Canyon Onyx, Honeycomb, Calcite, Jasper, Lithium Fluorite, Picasso Jasper, Rainbow Slate, or Rhyolite. In addition, each stone comes in a handmade full grain leather pouch that we make here at our leather shop in Worthington, MN.

Types of Stone

Our American Bison stones come in many varieties. Materials include Agate, Desert Jasper, Fluorite, Grand Canyon Onyx, Honeycomb, Calcite, Jasper, Lithium Fluorite, Picasso Jasper, Rainbow Slate, and Rhyolite. Each gemstone has it’s own unique look. The patterns and markings on each Bison will be different than what is pictured as the natural stone varies. You choose the material and then you can state in the notes what sort of features you’d like in your stone. With your detailed request we will choose from our current inventory.

Agate

An Agate can come in many colors. Typical colors are red, white and gray with other colors depending on materials. Each animal gemstone color will vary as it’s made of genuine agate.

Desert Jasper

Desert Jasper is also known as Polychrome Jasper. It typically has reddish-orange, gray and tan tones. It is unique and unlike many other Jasper, it is a true Jasper. Your gemstone will have unique characteristics.

Grand Canyon Onyx

As the name implies, this Onyx comes from the deserts of the Southwest. As part of the marble family, Grand Canyon Onyx is formed as a mixture of clay, carbonates and other minerals.
